RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This design combines the traditional furniture of Qing Dynasty with the modern elements, so as to design the modern new Chinese products. To study the characteristics of Chinese traditional furniture in Qing Dynasty, improve Chinese traditional mortise and tenon structure, and use modern overlapping structure to combine wood and metal to refine the line and charm of Qing Dynasty furniture. To investigate the cultural customs of Manchu and Qing Dynasty and solve the contradiction between tradition and modernity. To provide a source of innovation for the promotion of Chinese traditional culture.
CHALLENGE: How to extract symbols from design sources and how to make design products more appropriate to design sources is a challenge for this innovative design. How to integrate concise design into home design and what structure and material should be used in design are also great challenges.
