PRIMARY FUNCTION: Jewellery Third Eylid
INSPIRATION: The third eyelid is a transparent nictitating membrane presented in some animals and reptiles as full,human have it as a fold of conjunctiva at the inner corner of the eye. For my design i choose frog,lizard and bird third eyelid patterns. In nature, the third eyelid serves as protection of the environment. Threye designed to protect people from themselves,obsession with social networks and gadgets. It returns a person to "here and now" gathering wasted pieces of attention on information trash
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A collection of eye jewelry. The form is built individually to the face of the person (using 3D scanning). The design is held on the face due to the lightest possible design construction, distribution of gravity and duplication of the face bends in the nose and eye area.For my design i choose frog,lizard and bird third eyelid patterns. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project has started in December 2018 and is a result of the 1,5 year of studying in British Higher School of Art and Design, Moscow, Russia

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: First 3D face scanning, 3D modeling, then the form is 3D printed using SLA technology and castable wax. Next step is the casting process concluded with the hand cleaning,polishing and finishing.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: I wanted to come up with an eye jewelry that make a person look into the world around him at the same time without interfering with full vision. In the animal world this function is performed by the third eyelid. I researched various patterns and forms, until I stopped at the most interesting for myself- a frog, a lizard and a bird. This project demanded an extensive investigation of the historical development of an eye devices. In order to create the final design and identify the fixed points of the structure,I used the prototyping method, first manually from wire,and then printing plastic prototypes.
CHALLENGE: The main challenge - developing design that perfectly fits and hold on the face thanks to its shape with no extra fixing tools
