| DESIGN NAME: Seriously Ace by On-running PRIMARY FUNCTION: Advertising Visuals INSPIRATION: Exploded views of technical equipment. Also looking at some art installations were a car was completely disassembled and hanged by thin wires. There should be both a feeling of lightness of floating but also speed of motion UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Showing al the engineers and designed elements of the new Running shoe by On Running Shoes. Emphasizing both function and beauty of the engineers elements OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Starting point is a brief of the art-director at the client. She gives a brief with key elements of the product, visual style clues and inspirational images.From here it is in the hands of the photographer who decides the technique and props needed for the shooting of the product. After the first test shots which are discussed with the art-director the shooting of the shoes is made final. Here the final composition is achieved in post-production of the all the different photo's of the product and the elements of the product. Final images to be used in Advertising, window display in combination with fysical shoe or it's elements and for the collection brochure. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: 1,5 month. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Shooting Digital in studio using High-res camera. Creating final composition in Adobe Photoshop SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Various digital size. Hi-res Digital files TAGS: still-life photography, studio photography, exploded view, running shoe, advertising RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Start with visual research: technical imagery, abstract photography and extended product photography. Be able to identify and shoot essential elements of the running shoe. Also identify what parts serve what function by feedback from the shoe designers. In the process the imagery started to translate in more than just visuals for collection brochures and social media. The choosen visuals also translated in window presentation design and pos design. CHALLENGE: Creating a coherent composition.
