| DESIGN NAME: Elysium PRIMARY FUNCTION: Royal Majlis INSPIRATION: when I started the project, I wanted to simulate antiquity, but in a different way in terms of design, colors and raw materials used, to indicate the current era to be a design mix between the present and the past. The design was inspired by the study and analysis of some of the best buildings and palaces that have been built in the past ages Such as the Elysee Palace in France, palazzo Madama in Italy and Abdeen palace in Egypt UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Traditional interior design is inspired by french style in 17th and 18th century European decor. It's a timeless style that exemplifies elegance and comfort. the main elements of design in terms of function and shape have been taken into account and on this basis the main lines of design have been determined to give sense of harmony. taking into consideration the choice of furniture, lighting and decoration to suit the design. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: There has been an overlap and interaction between the past in the classical style and the decoration and between the present represented in the materials used for construction and construction methods such as glass and GRG (Glass Reinforced Gypsum) The design generally reflects the juxtaposition of different ages in the form of contrast between them to highlight the beauty of each other PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in February 2018 in Egypt and finished in October 2018 FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The work started in the design with a lot of sketches and drawings with (AutoCad) then the transition to the stage of choosing the colors,materials used, lighting and furniture to make mood boards by (Adobe Photoshop)to be designed as required . then we started to 3D modeling using (Autodesk 3ds max) SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 9400 mm , Depth 19600 mm , Height 12000 mm . Walls: G.R.G Coated walls with classic decorative Molding with a heavy texture wall paper with a cove lights on it. Flooring : luxury water jet marble and stone vintage design with a customized color italian marble , BIANCO VENTO , LIGHT EMPRADOR and DARK EMPRADOR Ceiling : 12mm thick suspended KNAUF gypsum board with G.R.G MOLDINGS TAGS: Classic, Majlis, Interior Design, Palace Design, luxury Design, Royal Classic, RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The research generally includes the idea of "revival of classical architecture", which aims to recreate classical architecture once again, but in a different way in terms of the materials used and the shape in general.
