| DESIGN NAME: Song Chinese Cuisine PRIMARY FUNCTION: Restaurant INSPIRATION: The Song Dynasty was the highest peak recognized by the ancient Eastern aesthetics.It is most appropriate to continue the modern design from the aesthetic image of the Song Dynasty. In the history of art, the emperor of the highest emperor Song Huizong, his work"Ruihe Map" is the pinnacle of the Song Dynasty's culture and art. Inspired by the"Ruihe Map" we took the subtle elements of "crane feather" and built a new space design. The guests can experience the ancient culture while dining. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: We inspired by "Ruihe Map", taking the subtle elements of "crane feather" and establishing a new space design from it. Song's Chinese Cuisine uses modern materials and design techniques to interpret Chinese restaurants. 100,800 pieces of heterosexual stainless steel bricks and 399,860 pieces of colored feathers constitute the basic form of the Song's Restaurant.The curving shape of the surface breaks the imagination of the Chinese restaurant and creates a unique spatial experience. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: As the guests walk through the restaurant, the space gradually becomes narrow; It can be in close contact with the feathers, and its touch makes us experience everything we have experienced, the interspersed body makes the interior energetic. The Space is no longer just a by-product of the order of events. A dynamic and fast-moving space ideally should be able to feel the state of the material as it passes through it. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in December 2015 in Guangzhou and finished in July 2018 in Guangzhou, and was opened in July 9, 2018. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: We use modern materials and design techniques to interpret Chinese restaurants. 100,000 pieces of heterosexual stainless steel bricks and 400,000 pieces of colored feathers constitute the basic form of the Song's Restaurant.The large-scale glass feather art installation with the theme of "Crane Wing" is used in the space,through the illumination of the light, reveals a gorgeous dreamy luster, 399,860 pieces of glazed feathers and slender copper columns subtly separate the space. In the design of the restaurant, we combine the modern image from the aesthetic image of the Song Dynasty, and mirror the temperament of an era with classic elements. In order to restore the original taste of Song Chinese Cuisine, we have come to the door to invite Song Chinese Cuisine, the undisputed Song Chinese Cuisine, to serve as the restaurant's executive chef consultant. The Song Chinese Cuisine is presented, and consumers can feel the ancient culture while dining. CHALLENGE: The work has gone through more than three years from the beginning of planning to the landing. The dimension of the craft has no reference in the past: for example, the stainless steel bricks are in the same horizontal line, the specifications of each brick we make are different; The components are also designed and developed by ourselves. In order to restore the original taste of Sichuan cuisine, we often drove more than a thousand kilometers highway that went to the Sichuan to invite the Sichuan cuisine chef to serve as the restaurant executive chef consultant.
