| DESIGN NAME: Sfumato PRIMARY FUNCTION: Shelving System INSPIRATION: Scaled and stylized, visually-compelling reflection of metropolis for contemporary indoor spaces. Stable and hard on bottom, blurred and soft on top, continuous and endless horizontally... The dynamic structure with various heights, depths and transparencies creates apartments with different atmospheres, required by Sfumato residents - various everyday objects. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The dynamic outline of this shelf system evokes the skyline of an urban landscape – spacious and massive at the bottom, broken and fragmented at the top, with a continuous horizontal base. Different configurations and dimensions are realized through the simple combining of the modules. Sfumato is a modular, stand-alone or wall shelf system for your small items. Those you want to exhibit or hide, either with a play of shadows or closed doors. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: For Living and Office spaces. It interacts with walls or empty space behind by not having the straight top line but having the dynamic appearance. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started at the beginning of 2018 in Sarajevo (B&H) and Djakovo (Croatia), and was produced in Djakovo (Croatia) during 2018, list of fairs and exhibitions: IMM, Cologne (Germany) in January 2019 BIG SEE AWARD - MONTH OF DESIGN, Ljubljana (Slovenia) in October 2019 AMBIENTA, Furniture Fair, Zagreb (Croatia) in October 2019 BFF, Belgrade (Serbia) in November 2019 AMBIENT Fair, Ljubljana (Slovenia) in November 2019 IMM, Cologne (Germany) in January 2020 and was planned to be presented at SALONE DEL MOBILE, Milano (Italy) in April 2020 Awarded Big See Product Design Award 2019 FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |

NAME: Ancona Grupa, brand Nunc PROFILE: NUNC’s first versatile collection translates ornamental tradition into playful minimalistic design. The collection character portrays the contrast of rational and geometrical form softened by the materials, warm pastels and textures. These reflect the identity of NUNC’s geographical natural environment, the homeland of the well-known Slavonian Oak. Even the products’ name reflect their design’s character, and this is supported by the typical vocabulary of the Slavonia region that combines Croatian, Serbian, German, Hungarian and Turkish words into an imaginarium of the ancient lifestyle, sound and letters, typical only for this area. The collection consists of the KIER dressing table, bed & hanger (design: Natasa Njegovanovic), BOLTA chair (design: Regular Company), RUVO semi-chair (design: Vladimir Madunic), ALA modular table & COT barstool (design: RU:T & Natasa Njegovanovic), SFUMATO shelf system (design: Filter), DUJA cabinet (design: RU:T), TARABA wooden room divider (design: Katerina Trpovska) and the EHO mirror series (Lea Aviani). Nunc’s design language was developed by merging the diverse cultures present in the regional legacy - from Central European and Mediterranean cultural heritage to elements of Ottoman tradition. NUNC's roots lie in solid wood and wood-based boards furniture of the 18-year-old Ancona Group, harnessing its traditional woodworking craft combined with sophisticated industrial production. |
