| DESIGN NAME: Kitabatake2 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: The client 's request was that the couple and 3 children could live comfortably. The site has an elongated shape in the north and south, and there is a road on the north side. Apart from the road, the building is built next to it, giving a cramped impression. Under these circumstances, I thought about whether I could propose a bright and open-air living space. In order to solve this problem, we adopted the courtyard and top light. The courtyard and the top light make the living space even more attractive. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It is a space filled with moisture by the trees planted in the courtyard. The light entering from the slit-shaped top light illuminates the wall surface, creating a space with depth by light and shadow. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Residents can live functionally. Housekeeping leads are compactly summarized. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The building is made of wood. There is a public space on the first floor, and the second floor is divided into individual spaces. The outer wall is covered with cement board and painted with antifouling paint. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 6370 mm x Depth 141050 mm x Height 8291 mm / Structure : Wood / Total area : 139.71 m2 / Building area : 77.80 m2 TAGS: house, green, courtyard,Top light,japan, Architecture RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Architecture is completely separated between public and individual spaces and devised so that residents can spend comfortably. CHALLENGE: While securing daylighting and ventilation, I had a hard time improving privacy. NAME: NRM Architects Office PROFILE: Our studio is an architectural design office established in 1997 by architect Shunichiro Ninomiya and Tomoko Morodome. Creating a house with an architect is a house-building that does not fit into a type. I think that there is an ideal "living place" according to each person living in the house.
