| DESIGN NAME: The Midas Touch PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Apartment INSPIRATION: The idea was inspired by the mythology of King Midas who would convert everything to gold on his touch. The idea of luxury living was translated from this to have streaks of gold in almost all elements across the apartment with the bar as its epicentre. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A Luxury apartment with well curated lifestyle products from across the globe spell the taste of the client. With a vibrant colour palette, the apartment is bound together with streaks of gold across the rooms with the bar area as its epicentre. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The living room opens to a complete space and merges into the balcony seamlessly. The bar area opens to be a part of the living. The Marine aquarium forms a base for the bar counter. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in October 2017 and finished in November 2018. The project is based in Juhu, Mumbai. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: everything was factory made as per production drawings. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 200 Sq.Mts TAGS: the midas touch, gold, prashant chauhan, anu chauhan, zero9, juhu, mumbai, apartment design RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Marine Aquarium was well researched for its execution. the carbon fibre bar top was experimented. The gold mosaic was researched from international market. Global products were studied and curated for bring the best furniture and accessories from across the world. CHALLENGE: To bind all the furniture with streak of gold with branded furniture was a challenge. NAME: ZERO9 PROFILE: The Client a HNI industrialist, desired to make the best home in Mumbai. The client had a liking for Gold and Fish aquarium. He placed the desire to have a long marine aquarium with a Bar on top of it. The client carefully selected products with Gold streaks in furniture and accessories. Luxury was the prime necessity for this apartment. |
