PRIMARY FUNCTION: Music Kit
INSPIRATION: In order to let anyone without any engineering background easily build cool electronic interactive works. We empower each block a feature, hiding all technical difficulties. Let kids get rid of the screens and return to the construction of physical logical blocks. Kids will focus more on creativity than on electronic principles. With simple logic stitching, anyone can turn any conductive object in the world into a musical instrument, let kids explore and make. This Kit will be a world full of musical instruments and melodies.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The hexagonal design makes the blocks expand easier and the original magnetic connection and the elastic needle communication make it very easy to use and ensure the stability of the product. Most importantly a unique one in three out design is adopted on the connection interface to ensure the uniqueness and transmissibility of the signal.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Green is the input module, blue is the logic module, orange is the output module, connect these blocks and complete the basic logical splicing, and then connect any conductive object with the alligator clips.It will turn any conductive object in the world into a musical instrument.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2016 in China and finished in September 2016 in China, and was exhibited in World Maker Faire New York in October 2016.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The product is made of environmentally friendly PVC and ABS, and the surface is non-slip. The original magnetic connection and the elastic needle communication make it very easy to use and ensure the stability of the product. The unique wooden classic packaging is made of environmentally-friendly high-density cardboard and it uses the laser cutting technology.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: There are not many products that teach kids music in STEAM education, while most of them rely on apps. So our starting point is to let kids learn beyond the screen, go back to the original physical logic building, and put all our energy into the creation.
While enjoying music, children rediscover and explore the conductive things in life. No matter where they are, they can build their own music stage.
CHALLENGE: The most difficult part is how to define the infinite extensibility and compatibility of the interface.
Therefore we have designed a unique (G/D/S/V) 4-wire interface transmission mode. First, the module can be relatively simple to achieve compatibility control of analog and digital modules. In addition, I2C can be used to achieve the compatibility of all complex data modules.
