| DESIGN NAME: Minka Raw PRIMARY FUNCTION: Packaging Desing INSPIRATION: Minka brings benefits to all participants in the production chain, the same way our Quechua ancestors ran the "mingas" in their communities. The aborigen art is the inspiration for this tubes which contain ancestral tradition and love for making the best chocolate product. Ecuador has a rich culture that deserves a good presentation to bring their excellent chocolate to the entire world. Minka plays a tribute of the Ecuadorian roots, proud of what they are made of. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Certainly, the meaning of mine derives from the knowledge that the Andean aborigines had that perform a shared work for the common good, it is done faster and better. Minka literally applies the concept of collective work of the "minga"; he buys the cocoa at prices for the farmers, who zealously cultivate the precious grain, and rewards the quality of its products; with which Minka makes all her chocolates. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The design team researched patterns which convey the natural environment of cocoa plantations and a graphic style to give a hand-made feel. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: cardboard box, offset printing SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 15cm x 15cm TAGS: chocolate, organic RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The ream researched on the internet and also travelled to Ecuador to have a deep knowledge about the company culture and where the product is manufactured. CHALLENGE: The creative challenge was to create an appealing packaging design for the crowded chocolate market. There are plenty of competitors and really good packaging design. This product needed to stand-out and tell a compelling story by means of graphic design.
