| DESIGN NAME: The Palace With A Secret Code PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: The owner, extremely committed to work, longs for a space reflective of her own aesthetics to which she can retreat at night in search of splendid beauty, also where energy emanated from the rays of sunlight during the day can correspond with the lithe shadows of the occupants and moving traces of light, alluring one to pause and savor the stillness of time. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Design Characteristics Brilliance is bestowed upon all materials by the mirrored reflections inside the kaleidoscope. It is as if fragments of simple, ordinary lives are merged into the ever-changing dazzling world, and continue to enhance and expand the richly beautiful life memories. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Crystal fuses ambiguity while glass reflects purity. Crystal craftsmanship of the Zhushan region was introduced to re-present the delicate details refined by the artisans. The unique glisten and translucency of leaded and fired glass, paired with the artistic characteristics of beveled cuts and diamond-shaped lattice technique, enriched the look and content of the home with traces of the crystal rays. Sunlight and moonlight flows freely in the space shimmering like a magnificent kaleidoscope and creates an ever-changing mesmerizing beauty. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The Mood of Crystal Rays The reminiscence of home was expressed through the mood created by the crystal rays. Utilizing refracted light from the prisms and the principle of colorful kaleidoscopes, an enchanted world was projected through the application of sparkling, translucent materials such as glass and crystals, mysterious Turkish blue and intriguing azure of the marble. The living space created with mirrors and glass stimulated inspiration about home. The refraction of light and the reflection of shadows painted the space, while glass, crystals and mirrors set the stage. All colors were trickled in forming a rich image and a gorgeous living atmosphere. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The space is 30 square meters TAGS: Interior Design, Residential ,House RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Intertwined Lights And Colors Light is the key that switches on the gears which activate the genes of a palace. The grandeur of an exquisite, secluded space does not necessarily have to be expressed with a complicated buildup. Instead, the rhythm of the dance between light and shadow during different times of a day infers the luster and expression of the motifs, allows the colorful light to flow with the halos, and decrypts the secret code that only appears during a specific time. CHALLENGE: As the golden sunlight penetrates the azure ocean, the sparkling glitter from the water resembles the daylight that passes through the crystal and shines in the space of the Turkish blue, radiating the mystery of the Turkish blue eye (nazar). The color of the mysterious ultramarine dispersed by the psychedelic splendor of the crystal prompts the space to emit a mood of magnificence and fantasy. When the night has fallen, moonlight and lamplight traverses and shines among the crystal and colored glass, shifting layers of light and shadow and adding ecstasies in the space. Much like a setting described in a Chinese poem where luscious wine was poured in luminous glasses and poets were appreciating the colors of the wine and the moonlight, this space also makes the occupants intoxicated in its romantic aura.
