| DESIGN NAME: Shade of the Municipal Square PRIMARY FUNCTION: Citizen Square INSPIRATION: The civic nature of the project is the starting point for creative design. Unlike the majestic, high-minded Government Center in china, this civic Center embodies the spirit of sharing and openness. To this end, the square design tends to form a living room in the Civic Life. Under the tree-lined cover, some basic activities, stay, rest, and so on have made a specific space-limited, the arrangement of the trees is the sight of the shelter, but also the guide of behavior. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The design is a square space outside the Civic center. To meet the public transport guidance, stay waiting, rest and Exchange needs. The contents include entrance square, tree array square, waterscape, tableland and so On. The Square's 35% of the space is covered by a tree array, providing comfortable, shaded outdoor spaces. In addition, the square also has a Halprin-style waterscape to response Square of leisure characteristics, can also dissolve the height differences on the Site. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The processing of tree pools and slabs and the variation of the height difference are the most concentrated part of the design. In combination with the overall tone and functional properties of the building, local materials and ecological materials are adopted in the light of Conditions.
