| DESIGN NAME: Quad Circular PRIMARY FUNCTION: Ring INSPIRATION: The design of the Visual elements of the ring such as the circle and the triangle is derived from the diamond, as well as of the principles of composition has been taken.The shape of spherical and circle induces a sense of balance. The circle is a symbol of the spirit since the number 8 represents spiritual resurrection and reborn in Christianity. lozenge consists of two triangles which is a symbol of the thinking. The ring evokes the concept of balance and human portrayal besides spiritual. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The large size of the ring despite the low weight of the gold makes it lighter and easier to use and better than similar forms. The diamond shape of the pearl heels is lower than the upper surface of the ring. The composition of two geometric forms as round and diamond as well as the same number of pearls along each other indicates form of the Diamond conveys a sense of balance, calm and softness. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The ring seems heavy because of its big and bulky shape while due to the thickness and blanks, it becomes more lighter. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in August 2018 and finished in July 2018 in Tehran. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: after tridimensional designing by means of the slidscap turned to the resin, the use of this device gets more accuracy and elegance in the process of production. By using casting machine the golden ring will be produced and at the end pearls will be placed on the ring. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width of the ring is 25 mm and the diameter is 10 mm. The weight is about 7.8 gr. TAGS: Ring, Visual Perception, Pearl, Circle, Gold, Ring, Zahra Montazerisaheb RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Visual and graphic arts, composition, research about the sense of forms and surfaces and personal interest to the shape of the circle caused to design the ring that show nicely the incorporation principles and the sense of forms. CHALLENGE: One of the challenges of producing and designing the ring is using the pearl on the diamond-shaped heels on the minimalist surface of the ring and make it minimal and modern. The circle shaped forms conveys the sense of relaxation, balance and interaction. In this design I want to show simply this balance and spiritual concept by using 8 diamond shaped heels.
