| DESIGN NAME: Intermission PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Interior Design INSPIRATION: All the worlds a stage, and all the men and women merely players, they have their exits and their entrances, and one man in his time plays many parts, written by William shakespeare is the phrase when designer thinking about the Client's living insight , we believes life is a journey of Life scenes so we put many theatre elements into space. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Intermission, specifically refers to the break time during the theatre performances, our client as a performing artist ,our design elements came from theater's scene and lighting. The L shaped axis designed to break the rules and make different areas connected fluently, just like a stage play scene ,through the dark low-color tonality and reflective material to create a quiet place for client’s soul be calm at home . OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Respond to the owner's mind , our designer abandoned the colorful color and light ,used black materials create different layers of the space. With the visual concept of stage lighting, a beam of light spills into the quiet black space; letting the owner enjoy the light of his own stage quietly; not only calming his mind and soul, but also a rest for his body for the next prelude. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: We use Titanium plating, stainless steel plate, stone skin, natural veneer, large picture wallpaper, iron parts, system cabinet, wooden floor SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 128 square meters. TAGS: Theater, Spot light, Scenery ,Dark light, Relaxation RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Designer's idea was derived from the concept of a black box theater that consists of a simple, somewhat unadorned performance space, usually a large square room with black walls and a flat floor, which can be used flexibly to create a stage. CHALLENGE: To open the public area by breaking the forth-wall of the space, and connect the living room, study room, dining room, and the kitchen .
