| DESIGN NAME: Cocoon Nail Salon PRIMARY FUNCTION: Nail Salon INSPIRATION: The moral of silkworm cocoons is to look forward to a new life like a butterfly breaking out of a pupa. The design conception of Cocoon Nail Salon comes from two points. One is the designer's preference for materials, such as glass tiles, metal mesh, grille and other materials for filtering light. Secondly, designers hope that every material can be used in the right place to maximize value. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a nail salon design project, designers want furniture and accessories to provide a comfortable experience, rather than limiting and hampering people's lives. The designer divides many private spaces like silkworm pupae in the public area to allow customers to enjoy service in a quiet environment while also feeling respect and protection. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Initially, it was planned that the fabric would be sewn simply on stainless steel skeleton. Later, it was found that the material could not rely entirely on stitching. Stitching and bonding adhesives are more in line with the characteristics of materials. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: During the wrapping process, limited to the width of the size, wrinkles are first rubbed and then spread out. This shows a soft luster and silkworm cocoon-like surface texture, which is pasted outside the steel frame of the independent compartment to give users a fresh feeling. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The project covers a total of 64.4 square meters. Because of the size of chemical metal cloth can reach 400 mesh or higher, its appearance is no different from that of fabric. Therefore, we finally chose metal cloth with aperture less than PM 2.5. TAGS: Interior, Commercial, Cocoon, Nail Salon, Fashion, Individuality, Handmade, Private RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Making small space in large space is mainly for functional needs. Conventional store design is only to set up partitions in the interior. In this design, nail salons need independent small space. We hope to create soft and small boxes in the square site which is independent of the limitation of shopping center. Let every silkworm cocoon change the sense of neatness, stylization and industrialization of underground shopping malls. CHALLENGE: In this design, due to the extremely stringent fire requirements, coupled with the construction of low cost constraints. Few materials can meet our demands for transparency and luxury.
