| DESIGN NAME: Seasonal Charm PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: With natural symbols such as mountains, grasslands, forests integrated into architecture and through experience in life engaging the five senses, the freshness and freedom of space is retained, enriching the depth and width of life. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In different floors are segmented public and private domains in an orderly way, where an abundance of details in the design were hidden. The rough and rustic natural mediums contrasting with neutral chroma jointly present an unassuming posture, allowing the space to overflow with natural thinking. A fresh look is revealed under the combination of natural scenery and unpretentious materials, and closeness is replaced by openness to plentifully take in the surrounding green environment. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The outdoor mountain views and lush greenery were introduced inside and the style profile was sketched based on the idea of leading a leisure life in the mountains and love for life. The color saturation connecting diverse materials was downgraded and somber charm was chosen to help all floor plan layouts organized, with collections of overlaps and configurations of natural textures, independent but connecting, to add a vertical dimension to the horizontal visual field. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The materials feature mostly nature and simplicity, including Italian special effect paint, stone veneers, granite, wire-brushed walnut solid wood, carpets of Bolon, slates, custom metal works. Textures of various natural materials are utilized to reflect the true and simple quality of life. The design concept was incorporated to have the natural codes of natural elements and structure integrated with the five senses to sustain the freshness and freedom, thereby constituting the main planning idea for a self-owned residency. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The indoor area is approximately 330 square feet. TAGS: greenery, mountain house, natural stone materials, floating image RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The vertical plan defines openness and intimacy. The higher the floor, the more personal the space, including the entertainment room for the friends, the double garage, the entrance hall, the dressing room and the storage room. In the outdoor, the shape of letter M in the designers English name was adopted to encircle the garden constituted the theme of sunshine house. The rendering is just like being under the starry sky and the outdoor surrounding vibrant lush landscape can be appreciated as well, giving an illusion that the indoor and the outdoor are blended into each other. CHALLENGE: The challenge was figure out how to integrated dozens of natural mediums, such as stone veneers, metal works, slate bricks without appearing complicated. Therefore designer tried to use natural stones paired with special effect paint that regulates moisture and the climate may constitute a medium or an end view in space. It is then supplemented by illuminations to depict the effect of elegant style and exquisite craftsmanship while giving visual lightness of floating.
