| DESIGN NAME: Inside Outside PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Garden INSPIRATION: The inspiration was summer trips to camp, when we wake up in the morning among nature, birds singing and the sound of grass in the wind. We wanted to create the same effect for the elegant interior of the residence. We wanted to let the nature inside the building, and the interior of the building move closer to nature. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A garden next to a huge glass facade of a private residence. Customers did not want to install curtains in the window. Main challenge of the design garden has to simultaneously cover the view from the outside to the inside, create a scenery that will extend the internal living space. Also cover the sun's strong rays during the summer, and in the winter ensure their access to the interior. The central location of the window meant that the garden had to be interesting during the 4 seasons. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: A project in which the author is a designer who tries to orient nature. Arrangement that changes over time, change of seasons, year, change of weather. The view outside the window must look perfectly always because it is the main home punk. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was started in 2015 Bliziny in Poland. Construction took place in spring 2016 |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: We covered the external facade and the inner walls around the window with a natural stone. In this way, the boundary between the interior and exterior has been obliterated. We have built a small terrace with the width of the window opening to visually extend the living room towards the garden. Near the window, we planted a group of miniature birches and a collection of plants that provides the right view throughout the year. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: A fragment of a large garden with an area of about 3000 m2 TAGS: private garden, garden design, residential garden, hubeny-zukowska, garden poland, garden designer RESEARCH ABSTRACT: I analyzed the soil, forces and directions of the wind. I checked the minimum and maximum temperatures in this area and natural plant species. Very important was the location of the sun relative to the window at different times of the year and the day CHALLENGE: The project is very important for the owners because the house is located in an open space with a view of the busy road. Difficulties were the specific, difficult climate of the place and the poor soil. In winter, temperatures sometimes reach minus 37C, in summer plus 35C.
