| DESIGN NAME: Zoe Shen Stylist Studio PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interior Design INSPIRATION: Favoring specifically the vintage and natural style, the client in memory of the grandfather and grandmother renovates their old sanheyuan into the private studio. For the client’s wishes remaining the old house spirit “coming back home,” the designer determined not to over-decorate and therefore to preserve the complete genuine architectural style as the traditional architecture in south area of Fujian Province. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The client, who has the business as makeup and flora design, owns the studio in this design plan located at the foot of Baguashan Scenic Area in Changhua City. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: From the perspective of modern architectures, the traditional building with the door entrance in 170-180 cm height and 65-75 width is intriguing, of which people need to lower heads, even lean to one side, to come inside the house. The vintage texture of wood doors artistically reflects the traditional life style in countryside. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in March 2016 in Changhua County , Taiwan. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Ornamented with the client’s personal collections and vintage furniture, the indoor space decorated with plentiful plants and dried flowers is warm and unique. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: This space is 116 square meters TAGS: Interior Design, Residential ,House,Space RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Without deliberately decorating the wood furniture, the designer preserves the wood doors with paint peeling and flaking naturally happened to the woods, and the tables are made of recycled woods, which are sustainable environmental protection as well. CHALLENGE: Given the design scope of the only one side of the wing and to isolate the private from the public spaces, the designer specifically constructed an entrance on the small garden of the side wing.
