| DESIGN NAME: Hidden Elegance with Revealing Aura PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residence INSPIRATION: This spatial project work of Da Lotus Interior Design was likened to a beautiful woman with great illusive aura without excessive makeup and accessories but still shines as a glamorous beauty. With full delegation and trust from the owner, the design team strived to deliver the warm and comfort craved by the client through creativity and professional aesthetics values. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The key articulation of this project is a complete presentation of the delicate texture within the materials deployed, in its power to connect different parts of the space, where the warmth of timber meeting the crispiness of masonry materials, so as to express the warm comfort look and feel the cllient strives for in an elegant texture, while the design returns to its origin of purity and soulful humility, down to every detail, every corner, every decorative item, and ultimately extending to the overall spatial ambiance inside and out. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: As the client did not nominate specific design styling and inhabitants, the design team was set to infuse earth colors and natural timber patterns that are widely accepted, based on their previous experience in mansion interior design, while successfully introducing modern Italian furniture to bridge with the curated design. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: As the client aligns with the design team in the concept of a curated display in the context of simplicity and style, detailing along with designer furniture, the design team created an array of materials at the entry with the wall covered in fabric complemented by marbles, glazed glass, and metalwork, and as the visual fusion being bright, minimal, natural and warm, it also depicts the design value of furniture layout and various placements to allow strategic visual access of them at the opportune time, hence becoming the visual focus of the visiting beholders, like a dazzling jewelry box. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Da Lotus Interior Design has always prided itself in its advocated aesthetics of texture, and technically sound material deployment strategy in creating a high-quality space. As the entrance pace was celebrated with marble mosaic tiles, with hidden storage cabinets installed, at the request of the client, the dining area was decorated with warm wooden flooring and selected designer furniture, with cabinet drawers made of thin marble, illuminated by a light strip on the ceiling in an organically delicate, light and simple visual display. TAGS: Mansion, Fusion of Building Materials,Posh Space, Modern Minimalism, Exquisite Furniture RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In this modern minimalist mansion of 144 square meters, the design team was given the task of creating an overall interior design encompassing high quality finishes in both of its public and private domains, much like a curated display set, with the public domain imbued with minimalist grandeur of marble mosaic floor tiles, complemented by patterned glass and traversing materiality, echoing the posh taste of the client. The private domain encompasses an earth-tone master bedroom with patterned curtains, along with a well-planned walk-in closet. CHALLENGE: The challenging aspect of this project was the open-ended nature of the design brief with no set styling and inhabitants to design for, however, given the numerous previous collaborations with this particular clients, the construction was able to proceed without many issues.
