PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The difficulty of this design project lied in the limited space in the exhibition area the lack of consensus on natural lighting and application of environmentally friendly materials.
Space:The existing space was not possible to display contents that covers 150 years completely,We had to rearrange contents of the exhibition assign themes to each exhibition area and use stairs and aisle spaces to create more interactive display areas,At the same time,Paper brochure was designed and produced to enrich the content of each exhibition hall,Allowing the exhibition to be more stereoscopic,Interesting and practical.
Environment and lighting:The exhibition is opened all day for free,We simulated the energy-saving night mode for the exhibition area in our design,We had also introduced natural light into the exhibition hall ingeniously to improve lighting,In terms of materials,Wood-based materials and recyclable materials were used in majority.
In the future,We will continue to develop souvenirs that corresponding with the exhibition contents,So that the history of a hundred years will not only present in the exhibition area,But also be a gift to the hands and homes of visitors and friends.

CHALLENGE: 1.In Mainland China it is not easy to have such an independent space for exhibiting the history of missionaries of the past 150 years,The government is also very cautious and concerned about this exhibition,The smooth inauguration and opening of the exhibition marked a good start.
2.The overall design and display are manifestations of traditional concepts breakthrough for the Mainland churches and visitors,The on-site exhibition style and contents put forward a cultural shock and“challenge”to the local community and visitors.
3.From design to Construction, different understanding by constructors regarding the materials and procedures had become crucial yet complicated,We had both perseverance and compromise during that period.
