PRIMARY FUNCTION: Air Monitor
INSPIRATION: We can listen to the weather forecast to know the quality of the air in a certain area. But the air around us can not be known, such as bedroom, the baby's room, the parents' room. Using the triangle air monitor, we can easily know the air condition. After the user's permission,It can turn the air conditioners, humidifiers or other electrical appliances on according to these numerical changes (the human body is unable to perceive), so as to improve the ambient air.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Triangle air monitor can monitor PM2.5 concentration,carbon dioxide concentration and so on. It can turn the fresh air system, air conditioners, humidifiers or other electrical appliances on according to these numerical changes. It consists of a host and a auxiliary machine, both of which can monitor the data.After connecting to WIFI, they can be placed in different places, such as one in the home and one in the office.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: On the host machine, the user can click on the screen to check the ambient air environment, match the host with the auxiliary machine and after connecting to the WIFI, you can see the data detected by the auxiliary machine in different locations by the host and can also view it with the APP. Assemble the host and auxiliary machine, rotate 120 degree auxiliary machine once, host will display a different monitoring data.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in May 2017 and finished in January 2018 in Beijing.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The triangle air monitor uses a white or black plastic case, which is suitable for different environments. The entrance and exit of the air duct are made of metal mesh. 6 independent sensors are used inside and the ARM chip is used to make the operation system more fluent.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: At the beginning of the project, we analyzed the air monitoring equipment on the market, and found that most of the equipment functions were perfect, but the appearance was not suitable to be placed in the home or office, so we also studied the appearance, color and size of the household appliances. Finally, we think white, small, simple appearance is suitable for placing in the home or office.
CHALLENGE: How to turn the auxiliary machine to change the content of the host display screen is a problem. Finally, we installed Bluetooth in the main engine and auxiliaries, and installed gravity induction devices in the auxiliaries. How to integrate numerous independent sensors is also a problem. After many failures, we successfully developed a new integrated circuit board.
