| DESIGN NAME: MVV Full Moon Season PRIMARY FUNCTION: Mooncake box INSPIRATION: In the Vietnamese culture, Mid-Autumn Festival is considered the second-most important traditional holiday after Lunar New Year. On that day, the Moon is brightest and roundest, which means reunion and completeness. With that meaning, making and sharing mooncakes, which is also round shape, is one of the hallmark traditions of the festival. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: MVV Mooncakes were designed by Bond Vietnam to share a story of the MVV office-workers who have worked hard and devoted their efforts to their customer’s successes. Illustrations on the packaging show many different scenarios, like viral stories on social media or intricate packaging. The special design of MVV Moon-cake packaging was created by the combination of Vietnamese Traditional Mid-Autumn Festival’s symbols and inspiration of creative, profound and dedicated people from Media Ventures Vietnam group (MVV). OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Mooncake Packaging is a special gift for Vietnam Mid-Autum. You can open cakebox and choose your most favorite flavor in 1 of 4 boxes. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Paper, Craft SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: With the requirements of the client, we use high materials in the production of the packaging, including 1200 gsm rigid board and textured fancy paper. The box is magnet flip, doubled layered praline to make it different from other mooncake packaging. We also use Metalic Silver Ink, UV Spot Vanish and embossing which can help the packaging more luxury. We also pay attention to every detail in the workmanship to ensure that every box is a masterpiece that complements product perfectly. Dimension: 260mm width x 75mm deepth x 260mm height TAGS: Moon cake, packaging, Mid-Autumn Festival, Bond Creative RESEARCH ABSTRACT: It was really important to find a way that would allow the product to be linked to Vietnam rather than Chinese culture. That's the direction our specialists have taken while researching the project, exploring the visual aspects of the country's culture and trying to convey human's spirit of MVV Group. CHALLENGE: Combine of the traditional Mid-autumn mooncake packaging with the modern communications. The packaging must have the unique design and be different from all the other designs in the market.
