| DESIGN NAME: Raindrops PRIMARY FUNCTION: Pendant INSPIRATION: I got inspired by the quote "Maybe raindrops are the bravest thing created by God. Want to know why? It is because they are never afraid of falling." Under this quote, these pendants are made for people who try living hard in their society and I hope they can be encouraged in various situations by these raindrops pendants. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: I got inspired by the quote "Maybe raindrops are the bravest thing created by God. Want to know why? It is because they are never afraid of falling." I tried to let them have a strong presence by thickness even they are small pieces. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The pendant can be worn as a necklace or pendant. They can be worn individually or collectively on the chain, with any color combination. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project started in 2016 and finished in 2017. Made in San Francisco, CA, USA. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Material: Swarovski crystal (amethyst, aquamarine, diamond, emerald, ruby), Gold filled, Sterling silver SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 10 x 7.5mm single-sided teardrop with 8 x 6mm raindrop shape faceted Swarovski crystal setting. Box chain: 16-18" TAGS: swarovski, asukasaito, asukajewelry, raindrops, colorstone RESEARCH ABSTRACT: A shape of raindrops and slide setting enhance crystal fancy stones which are designed with precise machine-cut facet patterns that precision machine cut which produces the glow of Swarovski crystal. CHALLENGE: The main challenge was making a shape of raindrops and slide set. These things enhance crystal fancy stones which are designed with precise machine-cut facet patterns that produce the signature Swarovski sparkle.
