RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The research for the development of the Cim chair focused on understanding what marked the Brazilian design in the mid-century and adapt the solutions of the current Scandinavian furniture industry in a smaller-scale production, exploring the boundaries of shapes with fiberglass lamination.
CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge was to unite the Brazilian design, with Scandinavian characteristics. Restricted by artisanal small-scale manufacturing processes.
