| DESIGN NAME: Desert Resort PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interior Design INSPIRATION: Fusing luxury with the traditional Bedouin lifestyle. Fusing the elements of comfort, modern facilities, within the desert landscape. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A unique project to design a luxurious resort in the middle of the desert. The design should reflect the deeply rooted Bedouin culture of the middle east, particularly United Arab Emirates, but with modern touches required to complete an ideal getaway and provide the total relaxation it's guests would value. A beautiful fusion of past and present. Luxury in the desert. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This is a hospitality design operated by Ritz Carlton in Al Wadi, Ras Al Kaimah, United Arab Emirates PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Duration : The design process started in 2016 and the project is mostly completely built and operational except 2 more F&B areas. The project is located in Ras Al Kaimah, United Arab Emirates |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: - SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The project included the re-design of all private villas, pool villas and tented villas, the courtyard, and several F&B areas such as The Farmhouse (which was included in this submission), and the other F&B areas being completed and to be opened soon - Samar Lounge, Moon Bar etc. TAGS: Kristina Zanic, Desert Resort, Ritz Carlton, United Arab Emirates RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: Fusing luxury and desert theme into the design within a limited budget.
