| DESIGN NAME: The Other Me PRIMARY FUNCTION: Illustration INSPIRATION: I was inspired by Edward Gorey's art work and the story. Even though every books seems as though it does not have any connections to you, it some how manages to pierce through the dark spot within you. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It is a series of drawing that illustrates the other half of yourself; feelings, actions, thoughts, that conflicts. It is not the answers to the questions, but hopefully an opportunity to face ones inner self. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Simply observe in order to interact with the work PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: September 2016 in Tochigi, Japan, and was exhibited in Bologna Book Fair 2016. NAME: Tomo Miura PROFILE: Tomo Miura is a freelance illustrator living in Tochigi, Japan. She graduated from Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, Canada. Her illustrations are simple and delicate; it is often created with ink and watercolor. She works as children’s book illustrator for La Joie de Lire, the publishing company. She also works for local stores and restaurants making flyers, logos, and drawing on the wall. She was one of the selected illustrators for Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 2016. |
