| DESIGN NAME: sky light PRIMARY FUNCTION: A Lighting INSPIRATION: SKY LIGHT was designed with inspiration in the skylight of the building. From a long time, it was possible to know the situation outside by taking a window on the building and received a sense of security through natural light. However, the current buildings are getting higher and there are many buildings that can not receive the natural light. The natural feeling of these architectures allows the user to feel secure. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: SKY LIGHT is installed on the ceiling and shows the sky based on current location and time in real time using OLED display panel. A variety of skies such as rain-falling sky, dark clouds, sunny sky, and cloudless sky are implemented, and you can see glows and stars according to time. It looks as though the ceiling has been opened and can be used as a different interior, and SKY LIGHT can intuitively understand today's weather indoors. and It also can be controlled by application. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: SKY LIGHT can be used in virtually any space where windows can not exist and can provide a more open environment for people with claustrophobia. SKY LIGHT intuitively tells people who are sleeping, people in the room, and the approximate time of today's weather. SKY LIGHT can feel nature indoors and can also be used as a mood PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2017 in Seoul and finished in December 2017 in Seoul, and was exhibited in Pin-up design award online in December 2017. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: It is a product that uses OLED transparent features and can be used as a display as well as a light. NAME: BYOENGCHAN OH PROFILE: COLONS is an eyewear brand that makes eyewear using wood and titanium. COLONS makes products in Sabae, Japan. COLONS products overcame the limitations of conventional wooden frame glasses and sublimated function to design, creating new products that have never existed anywhere. A colon is the symbol between the hour number and the minute number on digital watches. COLONS logo represents watch hands. COLONS eyewear is inspired by the watch. |
