DESIGN NAME: Delayo
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Online Shopping Widget
INSPIRATION: If you are among users who frequently shop online from a particular app or website, you may face the problem of paying additional delivery costs when you place online orders day to day. Beside being charged for delivery, this conventional method of online ordering and transportation increases consumption of energy as well as air pollution. So our team designed this widget to not only reduce the costs but also protect the air from pollution.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Delayo is a widget for online shopping apps that offers you the option to choose the preferred day of shipment when you buy an item through it and also let you purchase extra items within next few days before the selected date. On the determined day it will deliver all of your items together at once. This option not only reduces the shipping costs for buyers but also decreases numbers of vehicle loading for items shipment which results in less energy consumption as well as less air pollution.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: When a user orders an item and pays for it, it will be added to his basket. After the payment, he can choose which day the online shop ships his order for example 1 day, 2 days, 4 days or 6 days later. During this period and before the selected date he can add extra items to his basket and at the determined day, the online shop will deliver all of the ordered items to his address at once and user will pay delivery cost only once.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Based on study on user's behavior we found out when it comes about low costs items, many people decide to buy them from physical markets because there is not a reasonable proportion between delivery costs and low cost items. So we asked how can we persuade people to not only buy their normal items from online shops but also to purchase even low cost goods from such shops and how can we offer a service that would expand online businesses that are related to low cost items and every day goods.
CHALLENGE: The most challenging part was determine the most suitable place for day of shipment page. At first we were in doubt to put that page right after that user chose an item or after he completed the payment. Finally we decided to put that page when payment process was done for better management.
