DESIGN NAME: The Numi Pack
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Smart Travel Backpack
INSPIRATION: The start of the story goes back to a trip to Thailand, when realizing that we all struggle with power sockets, storage and safety issues, and the importance to make the world we travel in more sustainable. This gave us the idea for improving the travel experience.
As keen travellers we value our freedom. The freedom to travel wherever we want fully charged. The freedom to connect with out friends, families and businesses. And being able to do all of this with own generated power!
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Power features/The backpack has an integrated 7 Watt solar panel and a connected 22.000mAh usb type-C power bank.
Safety features/The hidden zippers prevent anyone from getting inside when wearing it. We used water repellent material and integrated
an extra hoody and rain cover into the backpack.The backpack is also dropsafe from 6m height.
Organizational features/highly customizable, detachable compartiments for camera, dirty goods, laptop, shoes,...and external pockets for easy access.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: -
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Project started in mid 2015 and we launched the kickstarter in juli 2016. Products are being shipped in feb 2017
