| DESIGN NAME: Net PRIMARY FUNCTION: Acoustic Luminaire INSPIRATION: This work emerges looking for luminaries that can bring an adequate acustic confort and also can be adapted in terms of design for the industrial sector. This design is based in the traditional luminarie industry and the mesh added, which meets the resistance requirements. Acustic absorbing functionality also gives added value, which is a very important characteristic in this type of illumination UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: That is a luminaire whose main feature is its metal mesh with a membrane, that brings a sound-absorbing function and protection to its power supply from dust and dirt. It is designed with an ITEM 60 profile, so it provides different configurations, in order to adapt it to both industrial and office environment.Its suspension system has a regulator shaped like an 'Y', that facilitates its installation. Power supply is Oled, it is complemented with accessories to accommodate emergency luminaries OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This type of lightning for the industry are little introduced into the market. The difference between Net and the rest of lightnings is its chain-link fencing. The chain-link fencing protects against dirt and also provides us with a very important characteristic; noise’s reverberation. Besides, its design with ITEM profile makes it highly versatile in order to create distinct levels’ configurations and to create illumination networks. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The principal material used for this design is Sonogamma’s FILVA-T; it is a chain-link fencing with an acoustic membrane. The lamp’s diffuser is made out of this material which reduces the reverberation at the same time that offers a nice and industrial design. The profile ITEM used in industrial machinery provides great solutions for configuration and accessories. The suspension cable incorporates a regulation system to make its installation easier. Lastly, OLED technology helps to make more efficient its production and use. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The measurements of the prototypes are: Small: 600 MMX 200 mm x 90mm Medium: 1200 mm x 200 mm x 90mm Large: 1500 mm x 200 mm x 90mm Corner: 200 mm x 200 mm x 90 mm. TAGS: Industrial lamp, Acoustics Luminary RESEARCH ABSTRACT: It was two years ago when we opened in the studio a new I + D division about how to improve spaces and products related to the acoustic feature. We are always investigating in this department about the latest materials that come into the market. Lightnings were one of our objectives. Looking into the market we found several lightnings with acoustic textiles for areas such as office, home and contract but nothing for the industry. So, basing on traditional industrial lightning, we have developed this concept where the metallic diffuser is provided with an acoustic membrane consequently reducing the noise. Lámpara industrial. CHALLENGE: Acoustics is a very important factor in any space and for our study it is always a challenge to work in this area, we investigate and we are inspired by the conventional industrial luminaire but we looked for an added value (acoustics). We find a translucent mesh that provides a high acoustic absorption factor. We saw its production viable since the process is a folding of the material inside the profile.
