| DESIGN NAME: Gui an Mansion PRIMARY FUNCTION: Villas INSPIRATION: After reading the representative works of scholars in modern China, we learned from them the state of mind, that is, being tranquil and at ease, modest and clear-minded, and sometimes a bit childish and humorous. Happiness is a kind of mental state. With peace in mind, one naturally feels happy. Great philosophy lies in every common thing even in eating and sleeping. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This Project is a villa group of 5-story buildings. Instead of luxury, its design highlights leisure, because leisure is a true luxury. After all, being lofty and leisured is the most precious blessing. Those who can enjoy this blessing must have a different state of mind and scholastic accomplishment. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The original design intention of this project lies in the delivery of leisure touch of the space. We firmly believe that only in leisure time, can people shake off the yoke of utilitarianism, return to themselves, and get into the state of freedom and sober-mindedness. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: We designed an open plan living room and a reception room to entertain guests where they can enjoy music of the nature. Tall ceiling design with vertical layout allows the living room looking more upright and elegant. Particularly, the refined and clear green marble feature wall has been able to highlight the life status as depicted in an ancient poem, chatting with learned scholars and visited by no commoners. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 334 Square Meters Project Area TAGS: Hong Kong Fong Wong Architects, Interior Design, Villa Design, Modern Chinese Style RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The villa group is located in Gui an, where people named it as the backyard of Fuzhou City. This verdant place is 85 percent forested and becomes a real natural Oxygen bar in the city. The designers combine the elegance of modern literati taste with natural surroundings in this project to create a leisurely and cozy living space. CHALLENGE: In the design of the project, the designers aimed to introduce classical leisurely and carefree state of mind into the modern sane space, which shows the taste and cultural attainment of the traditional Chinese literati.
