| DESIGN NAME: Koji PRIMARY FUNCTION: Pushchair INSPIRATION: Inspiration from this product came from a wealth of experience in the industry (Tutti Bambini are celebrating 30 years this year), and knowledge of the need for a reasonably priced compact folding and lightweight pushchair, that doesn't compromise on quality and style. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: KOJI is the little yet large pushchair perfect for active parents who are always out and about. KOJI is a compact and lightweight stroller, perfect for city life. It offers a choice of two chassis colours and five accessory pack colours, allowing full customisation of your pushchair to suit your style. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The product can be folded to a compact size easy for storage. It also transforms to a travel system via the use of a car seat (which we also supply, or it can be used with a number of other car seat suppliers) or a carrycot which is suitable for overnight sleeping. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in July 2016 and will finish in March 2018, across both UK and China. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This product is made from aluminium, plastic (via injection mould tooling) SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Folded size: 82 x 50.5 x 30.5cm Assembled size: 90 x 50 x 106cm Weight: 10.5kg TAGS: Pushchair, Modern, Sleek, Compact, Lightweight, Colourful, Premium RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We conducted extremely detailed research into the market for strollers, identifying price point gaps as well as gaps for product functionality. We have exploited these areas by coming up with a modern design that is also extremely good value and good quality. CHALLENGE: The design engineering process, as we have had to invest in all of our own tooling for this design, and had to overcome many obstacles to ensure the product could still function extremely well whilst looking fantastic.
