| DESIGN NAME: Appealing Zen Style PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interior Design INSPIRATION: The AMAN Hotel in Tokyo, a big city, remains its composed and elegant design style that the tourists experience both the Zen and modern styles that make this hotel become intriguing in metropolitan area. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Following the design skill of T.D. Lee, the master of architect, the design team brings the attention from the people to the delicate dining room and kitchen, ingeniously recreates the scenes of luxurious restaurants by means of the Japanese-style grilles. Meanwhile, the dangling lights brings the contemporary elements to traditional humanity style. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: By simulating the configurations of rooms in top hotels, the design team make the private space shared intimately for family members. In the main bedroom, designed based on the rooms in AMAN Hotel, the delicate entranceway, big dressing room, comfortable bed and reading area have interacted in accordance with the wood materials. The screen window, in plain color, secured the privacy while softening the daylight in the meantime. The glamorous faux finishing, made from Italy, impeccably demonstrates the graceful life style from the perspective of design skills. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In the big living room, the ceiling decorated with simple lines creates composed visual effects. With the recessed illuminations on the ceiling and walls, the large ceiling window invigorates the space in the living room. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: This space is 428 square meters. TAGS: Interior Design, Residence RESEARCH ABSTRACT: AMAN Hotel, located worldwide at the place with great natural landscapes and historical humanity, has always been the best hotel for those seeking a quiet and relaxing place. CHALLENGE: The client, in this project, wants to make his residence a place in AMAN Hotel style. Under such circumstances, the design team had brought into existence an elegant and delicate space, in 130 square footage indoor space, based on the design concepts of luxurious hotels.
