| DESIGN NAME: Woods Mind PRIMARY FUNCTION: Wood skin exhibition hall INSPIRATION: When you walk into this space, you could touch and feel the texture of wood just like you were walking into the forest. When you look up in the drawing room, you will have a special angle of view, just like seeing the forest up side down on the ceiling. There are thousands of little fluorescence smooth green sticks. They just like the grassland up there or like the tent of forest. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: With simplification as design ethos and drawing inspiration from wood, the designer tries to create a scene of abstract forest. Using a totally new material and new methods to perform the green leaf or grassland. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: With simplification as design ethos and drawing inspiration from wood, the designer tries to create a scene of abstract forest. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Located in Donggang Furniture Building ,Zhongshan ,Guangdong ,China.The project is finished in October, 2017. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Repainted wood,Green fluorescent acrylic,White painted cabinet,Deep gray painted aluminium alloy. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 107 square meters TAGS: Wood,Green,Fluoresce RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Donggang Furniture is a furniture factory with a long history.The technology made in the wood leather process is very exquisite. CHALLENGE: So the point is two things of this design or you can say two elements: grassland and trees. The designer use a common material called acrylic which is using the right color and surface smoothing to perform the grassland. And then using the painted aluminium alloy and painted wood boxes to perform the trees with functional request.
