Website and mural are interactive transposition of old radio receiver's desktop. Retro radio can be regarded as a symbol of the old, industrial district Zablocie, which is known for production the Unitra radio components in Poland in a communist era. In addition, the building where the production took place, visually resembles the vintage radio desktop. For the residents of Krakow, this really huge building called Telpod-Unitra, is still a symbol of an industrial Zablocie.
The page contains radio – contemporary audio-recordings of people associated with Zablocie: historians, guides, residents, representatives and persons related to culture and art of Zablocie, artists, galleries’ owners and others. They comment on: Zablocie, history, art, murals and other places and ideas important for people and community of Zablocie. These categories are arranged on a radio desktop instead of typical radio frequencies. Except radio recordings in Polish, the site contains photo and video documentation, short descriptions and interactive maps.
This is a showcase site, containing and broadcasting the most important information concerning Zablocies' identity, history, heritage and contemporary problems. It is also an authentic record of current moods and trends of the local community.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Instead of typical radio frequencies on the radio desktop there are thematic categories such as: Zablocie history, art, spots, murals and infos about Zablocie district. Each category contains several objects placed on the horizontal green boxes arranged on the appropriate radio frequency. To make page more similar to old radio I used radio noise / tuning effects. After pressing or moving the vertical red line on the selected object, the audition begins broadcasting. The interviews were carried out with 30 persons associated with Zabłocie. Each such element is an authentic story, a source of knowledge and history in a nutshell on the topic, e.g.: in a history category there are broadcasts and other documentation about some signifcant for Krakow and Zablocie historical places like: Telpod, Ziarno Mill, Oskar Schindler’s Factory, Miraculum Factory, Old Salt Storehouse or Wawel Chocolate Factory.
CHALLENGE: MURAL: photoluminescence and research in cultural and postindustrial districts similar to Zablocie; RADIO: radio project management: audio-recordings (interviews, editing of recordings, historical research about Zablocie heritage, collecting the old photos, making new photo documentation, translation, website development).
