| DESIGN NAME: Richard III PRIMARY FUNCTION: Poster INSPIRATION: Richard was the third child of the four brothers, a handicapped child. Life sparing my parents, living a lonely life. But Richard is smart, well-suited for mouthfulness and grasp of human beings, and it keeps people around him one after another. The world fought separately for red roses and white roses, but the world that Richard went through was a world of blackness. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Advertisement visual of Shakespeare 's theater in the past was nothing fancy. A visual that echoes to those who do not see theater is necessary. The theater company Kakushinhan is a theater company that conducts Shakespeare theater aggressively as avant-garde art contemporary. Ambition and loneliness of Richard who is not healthy and normal. It was an expression with black impact, and it made an impactful visual, combining various elements of different materials and physicality. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: It is a thing that felt human desire, failure, frustration, missing love, necessary things from the vicious trickster of Richard III which Shakespeare and British history created. Posters, the web, sns, other promotional materials, etc. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project began in Tokyo in February 2015, ended in Tokyo in May 2015, and was exhibited inTheatre Fushikaden Tokyo in June 2015. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The thing that Richard hates the world and believes only as for one's ambition. Richard who does anything for the throne. I painted a whole body with black to make the view of the world. I paint the rose indicating the U.K. in the middle of the rose war in black. I incorporated the part of different material in a body that the body was unsatisfactory and showed Richard such as the murder machine while being born. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The size of the poster is A1 size, 594 mm - 841 mm. TAGS: Love, Literature, Lust, War, British History, Theater, Shakespeare, Richard, Trickster RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In Japan and the world, the visuals of Shakespeare plays are rare. Many things are different from movies that do not see the world view. Because theater has a high artistic nature, it is almost impossible to make visuals like art works. Interested in people who have never watched theater, visuals with impact and worldview. CHALLENGE: Although Richard III is a popular work, it is difficult to know the essence of this work because there are many other masterpieces in Shakespeare 's work. In addition, complicated British history, the number of characters, is a difficult point. Finding keywords to express from there is a difficult point. Also, it was a hard work for selecting painting technique and different material parts.
