RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Reflecting the value of life, i wanted to create a collection of jewellery that inspired the wearer of how precious life can be and observe the little things around us that is important and useful. Taking the element from Nautical cleat and abstracted into wearable jewellery by experimenting with different shape and form using hand drawing and 3D drawing technique, resulting a very simple and yet consisted of details of nautical senses.
CHALLENGE: The most challenging part of this project to is the production of master piece. Due to the limited scale and angle available on the 3D printing machine, each part has to be printed separately and assembled by hand at the end.
Another obstacle part of this project is the finishing, because of the material selection, Sterling silver, large surface and solid piece, it is very difficult to make the surface smooth, shinny and flawless from the stain and tiny spot causing from the casting process.
