PRIMARY FUNCTION: Environmental Graphics
INSPIRATION: Inspiration came from cartoons, when objects can be endowed with human traits, enter into each other's conversations. Thus, it is possible to link the illustrations on the facade with a single idea. Adding eyes, smiles to objects can cause sympathy in a human.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Illustrations for the facade are designed to attract visitors to the cafe. To evoke emotions in the illustrations, a variety of drinks and desserts are shown in the menu in the form of characters: coffee, cooking methods, desserts. The cost of finishing the facade should be low, so the facade is decorated with white vinyl stickers.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Graphics on the facade of the coffee house should be well read at different distances. Illustrations should be friendly, invite to visit a coffee house, a person will be interested in looking at them.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: All illustrations were made by Adobe Illustrator to transfer them to production for cutting. Contoured white vinyl stickers on glass without color print make the production cheaper and in large sizes are visible at long distances

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: I collected examples of design of European and Russian facades of cafes. Often, the glass is decorated with stickers or paint, but the hand painting of the facade makes it more expensive. The facades of street cafes are decorated with a logo, minimal graphics and are attracted by their exterior. The client's coffee house is in the shopping center and you need to draw more attention to it precisely with graphics on the glass facade.
CHALLENGE: Illustrations are limited to one color, but they had to attract people. Characters do not have strict geometric shapes, which gives them a friendliness, emotions are transmitted by the eyes, smiles cut out from the shape of the object. Since it was necessary to sign the characters, I created for each individual cyrillic lettering, since most visitors to the coffee house Russian-speaking.
