| DESIGN NAME: Duft PRIMARY FUNCTION: Animated Perfume Bottle INSPIRATION: The main inspiration was the beautiful work of photographer Charles Helleu. He creates amazing still images with incredible ideas and perfect quality. I wanted to see some of them it in motion.. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A full CG animated Short of a perfume bottle to demonstrate the possibilities and advantages of CGI in product visualization. The project started as a personal lighting challenge to match the quality of modern product photography. I did a lot of research in various styles and techniques and tried to recreate these in 3D. Ones this was done I had all the advantages of a 3D Package like Animation and Reuse of Models and Light situations. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was done in early 2016. It took about three months in my spare time beside my regular job at the marmalade. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Done with Autodesk Softimage and SideFX Houdini. Rendered with Arnold and composed in AfterEffects. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: - TAGS: 3D CGI Perfume Render Animation product visualization RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: The hardest Part was matching the look and dealing with rendertimes.
