| DESIGN NAME: Klikko Life PRIMARY FUNCTION: Electronic Blocks INSPIRATION: Nowadays, electricity is everywhere around us in daily life. Electronic knowledge is very important and basic. While in school education, students learn this systematically in junior school, at around 13 years old. It is necessary to do some basic universal education earlier, at kindergarten or home. So there needs a stage property which between teaching aids and toy, make it interesting and practical. So we try to design Klikko Life. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Klikko Life is designed to help young children learn electronic knowledge. There are base modules, functional modules, wires and Klikko blocks. Adult could lead children to connect blocks with wires in right way, let them understand the basic circuit principle vividly. Further more, integrate with our mature building blocks Klikko, it can make more magic and practical things. Children could build a sound control lamp or a small fan in any shapes they want. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Klikko Life is a good STEAM toy, which help children to be a learner, maker and creator. The building blocks Klikko can be the base of the electric circuit and children can use them to build any shapes they want. The functional blocks module including speaker, fan, light, acoustic resistor can be easily linked to the Klikko block module by the special connection structure design, also with using the magnetic connection conductor, Klikko Life electronic blocks can give children a more real creation experience. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Klikko Life electronic blocks combines two main function parts: the basic Klikko splice block module which is used to construct a variety of shapes and the electronic blocks module with function and circuit physics knowledge. In addition to this, Klikko Life also has the conductors with a magnetic connection. The main material of the blocks are high quality food-grade ABS. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The base and functional modules are around Width 45 mm x Depth 45 mm x Height 26 mm. The building blocks Klikko is Width 63 mm x Depth 63 mm x Height 3 mm. We took the deep observation of children learning electronic knowledge and playing blocks demand through the way of market research and community research. We build the two user-centre research communities in Beijing and Shanghai, acquired the valid insights about the special behaviour psychology of our target groups. CHALLENGE: The creative of this project is we effectively balanced user needs, market requirements, and product cost these variable factors to realise the integrated innovation. This is also the most challenging part of the project.
