| DESIGN NAME: MUT PRIMARY FUNCTION: Multi Purpose Table System INSPIRATION: The table has always been a fundamental support for collective construction. In an era characterized by continuous transformation, diversity in living and working ways, we need supports capable of adapting to new collaborative and multipurpose environments. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: From m2 to m3, the working plane is now transformed into a volume that generates spaces and unique atmospheres. MuT. Redefines the table, improving its performance, transforming it into a tool that maximizes the dynamics of contemporary work. Its components have been developed to enhance the processes of exchange, giving support to various activities and forms of relationship. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Working, resting, studying, thinking, having a coffee, or being inspired, individually or in groups, MuT recreates atmospheres that induce the realization of these activities according to the needs of its users and in the greater comfort. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The product combines wood, stone , steel and linen in a balanced way.The processing of these materials is done using contemporary production systems, reducing their costs. Components and materials: .Wood conuntertops are made of solid wood with natural finish. .Stone countertops are made of Corian DuPont, giving an extreme resistance to all the activities. .The structure is made of steel, width copper powder coat finish. .The luminaire is made with a lightweight structure covered in linen. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The product was developed as a system integrated by green separators, luminaires, and surfaces, configurable by each user according to their needs. The table width is 150 cm, and a variable length from 150 cm to 500 cm. The product is carried by modules and finally assembled at its place. TAGS: Table, System, Wood, Multi purpose, Home, Office RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Our work is the result of a thoughtful analysis of how contemporary life evolves and changes constantly. As a result we build a critical view about the fundamental role played by furniture structuring and articulating space. CHALLENGE: We work on two premises: the table and its re-interpretation as an instrument of great performance, as well as a careful analysis off the main aspects of function and ergonomics involved around it. NAME: LA AGENCIA PROFILE: We are a design agency specialized in furniture design, based in Montevideo. We operate on the border between architecture and design, developing products and offering solutions in design and management. Our work is the result of a deep analysis of how living constantly evolves and changes. It is based on conceptual production as its starting point, as an essential milestone inseparable from material production, and inherent to the development process. We consider it equally important to add an extremely relevant variable to the relationship between user and object: the environment. |
