| DESIGN NAME: Universal Hand Dryer PRIMARY FUNCTION: Hand Dryer INSPIRATION: The majority of hand dryers in public restrooms are installed at high positions, making them difficult to use for children and those in a wheelchair. On the contrary, if they are installed too low, they can be uncomfortable for tall users as they need to bend down in order to dry their hands. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Universal Hand Dryer is able to dry anyone's hands, regardless of the installation height. It can be accessed from any height. That is more ergonomic, because users do not need to put their hands and shoulders in awkward and difficult positions when drying their hands. Universal hand dryer detects the height of the user's hand and it sends the winds as appropriate height. In addition, the wind covers more surface of hand (Compare to current hand dryers) and dries faster. Another positive aspect is that your hand will be directly exposed to the wind, regardless of your height. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Usage of this hand dryer is exactly like the others. Just place your hands into the vents, base on position of them, wind is blown out. Then you can bring out your hands slowly (duration time: 10-12 second or even less). PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This is similar to the manufacturing method of a general hand dryer.
