| DESIGN NAME: Easy-tear tape PRIMARY FUNCTION: Adhesive Tape INSPIRATION: It is difficult for people to use tape without other tools, such as scissors. This is because those tools are able to readily snip the that, and it is hard to find the start of ordinary tape, which causes great inconvenience to daily use. An envelop gave me inspiration, because there is a trim perforated line, which help people easy to open the envelop quickly and neatly. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Easy-tear tape sets a perforated line at intervals, such a design makes the product easier to be torn off neatly without assistance of other tools. Meanwhile the rational distance between each perforated line guarantee the adhesive ability of the product. Behind each perforated line ( new start of next piece of tape), there is a narrow part without gumminess; this design allows people to simply find the start of tape, because it does not stick to tape reel and does not affect the normal use. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: we approximately measured the length of the tape, it allows people to snip the tape at perforated line PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in february 2017 in Shenyang and finished in March 2017 |
