INSPIRATION: The intention of the designer in this collection is to inspire to dare through a provocative and energetic mysticism. The angular shapes take the eye by surprise, inviting them to stop and contemplate this piece of furniture, as a spectator would do in front of a painting. Inspired by the whimsical but studied strokes of the painter Pablo Picasso, he tries to propose a bold avant-garde conceptual design.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This will undoubtedly be the most striking piece of art in the room. With a crazy personality, bold and full of energy, is an exciting conceptual statement. Glass panels painted in the back, and wooden legs of angular shapes, form the capricious lines that challenge to think of the powerful and unpredictable personality of the artist who gave its name to this collection.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This piece can be used to bring character to any wall in a room, hallway or as a divider from elements, it intends to inspire and produce an art interactive ambiance of high interior design with a strong conceptual element... It projects emotions with color full back painted by hand and costume, which has make each piece a unique collectable piece of art.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started on February 2016 and was finished on August 2017.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The asymmetric forms of this piece have been achieved through a combination of Italian machinery and expert hand assembly and finish craftsmen. The wood is Tzalam, jointed by the technique of mortise and tenon, covered with glass panels painted from behind and sealed. Doors have a self soft closing hinges and structure of Tzalam solid wood. The finishing is made with polyurethane on 6 layers that highlight the wood richness, and gives durability to this piece of furniture.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Solid Tzalam wood cut in CNC and hand finished. Back painted tempered glass panels with different color tones.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: It implicated an extensive study of the work of Pablo Picasso, and technology needed to paint in several shapes the glass panels from behind. From there the designer extracted the purest and conceptual forms in order to make a more modern and interactive design.
CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge in this particular piece was the designing of the wooden joints with glass, and adjustments of the structure to glass, and the process to paint the glass in an industrial and yet unique way to paint all 5 pieces of front in the same alignment and similar look.
Also a specific search of materials was made in order to find the correct ones that would give the desired effect and engage with all the rest of the elements in a practical, yet resistant way, without affecting the originality and luxurious projection.
