| DESIGN NAME: Akay Neris Residence PRIMARY FUNCTION: Apartment INSPIRATION: Day after day our population grows up, and in the near future it would be hard to supply people with energy, water and etc. That's why sustainable and ecological project was designed UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: AKAY-NERIS RESIDENCES design aim is sustainable and ecological design concept. We used photo-voltaic energy panels on all of the rooftop areas and suitable facade surfaces. Sustainable design concept includes the waste water refinement for all grey and black water in this project. We aim to use refinement clear water on landscaping irrigation system. Along with that this system combined with rain water accumulation system. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Started 6 months ago and still under construction in the Ankara/Yasamkent FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Architecture, Building and Structure Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The main material of the carrier system is concrete (for all blocks). The roof of 3 storey blocks is covered by steel structure (over pool). On the south facade of the 16 storeyt blocks were used movable metal sun breakers to prevent sun pass at hot days of summer (settable). SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: each 16 storey block - 22600mm x 24300mm x 53000mm each 3 storey block - 17950mm x 15800mm x 13800mm TAGS: Neris, Akay, Sustainable, Residence, Baykan RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This project discusses how sustainable design can improve people's life. It goes without saying that our top priority was fulfilling people's wishes to gain energy and water from nature instead of paying for it. With a help of this project people would yearn for a better style of living. Another aim was to create architecture that would be in a harmony with the landscape.
