DESIGN NAME: Iceberg
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Table
INSPIRATION: my inspiration was an image about global worming and the ice melting and i was thinking about giving attention to this problem by making a Furniture which is inspired by natural element like Iceberg
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The iceberg table is shaped like an iceberg with the surface of the water around it. it is more likely to be in office or in Reception. The table is designed to be natural and to develop thinking about nature and global worming. The table is made of 2 slides of clear glass and iceberg shaped white acrylic made by CNC machines. The glass panel has the ability to rotate to maximize supporting options, also to give the sense of dynamic like water. The lower glass panel represents the water level in the past, the upper panel represents the water level after melting icebergs by global worming.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: the table is designed mainly to control the feelings towards global worming and it's consequences like melting icebergs. The glass panel has the ability to rotate to maximize supporting options, also to give the sense of dynamic like water.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: started in july 2016 in Cairo and finished in February 2017 in
Cairo

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The table is made of 2 slides of clear glass and iceberg shaped white acrylic made by CNC machines.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: the table is 110 cm L , 60 cm W , 50 cm H

I am truly in awe of this stunning furniture design.
