DESIGN NAME: Baguio Villa
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential living area
INSPIRATION: The American wildness in the 50's and 60's metropolitan glamour charms us all for its bold and experimental application of colours. The occupants have good capacity in their open-mindedness embracing a very personalised interior and architectural design - presenting their own nostalgic collections in the sitting room of a 3,000 feet home, while utilising every corners to house objects and patterns with variety in styles, textures and weighs, yet all the details conclude with contemporary vibes as a unity.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Facing the spacious landscape living area as one enters the house is the exceptional wine hanging system using vermillion red leather ropes to show the character of the occupant, which serves like an art installation to parallel with the vibrant oil painting that injects energies to the dining room. As for the oil painting behind the dining table, the use of colours and features of the female facial close-up are fashioned with the "American good old days" style

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The contextualisation as a decoration in the space revitalised it with contemporarity. The black and white diamond-patterned floor is the highlight of the dining room, which extends to the kitchen passing along from the bar, working out the dynamics imposed by the mirror ceilings. The unique hexagonal carpet acquired matching the TV set with the tone of whiskey with organge garnish, subtly synchronising with the very industrial wooden carbinet behind the sofa.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: A private zone with style for the owner and guests to enjoy wines and spirits is the bar with high table, adding to the spice of the area are the red brick wall and the orange leather sofa, followed by the steps along the corridor floor celebrating geometry, behind the dining table and long chairs made of oak. The bold mix of white patent leather high chairs with the neon decorative lights on cement wall work out a strong contrast to harmonise with the other zones of the home. The profiled "H" iron decorations in black being placed on the ceiling are to make a strong statement of every transitions between and among different zones in the house, of which function together with the colourful collages as good distraction to the awakward locations of the washroom doors.
