DESIGN NAME: Bones
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Pendant
INSPIRATION: Design is inspired to a primitiv flint weapons. Each jewel is original with rough and finely polished surface together. The stile is aggressive and refined right for women or man of strong character. Each stone suggests to me a new shape without never losing its primordial matrix during a creative process of transformation, based on a deep respect for its natural material.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: These are the small sculptures made with black natural stone but same parts of it are polished. The pendants are reminiscent of fragments of skeleton, bones which alternated fullness and emptiness create ever-changing play of light.
You may shape the wire through the holes on the stone, it can be change time in time according to a different scheme of composition that creates a custom jewelry according your taste and mood of the moment.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The pendant is very comfortable to wear and no heavy . It can be used every day. It is resistent but if you drop it to the groun it may break.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Each piece of jewelry need more then five hours to be made. First I cut a marble, then I make a wholes and then I proceed sculpture the form . I finish with polishing of surface. Typically the stone is subjected to a previously established plan, defined on paper or a preparatory sketch.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: I used black marble because it is very elegant stone.
The contrast between the deep black and lighter colour of the skin makes an particular effect.
CHALLENGE: It is difficult to produce black marble sculptures. But make jewel-sculpture of black marble is harder because of hardness and delicacy, in the same time, of it.
