DESIGN NAME: Portable TPR Car-rescue-track
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Help drivers safely drive over
INSPIRATION: This design was inspired by spiked shoes which guarantees well performance of football players. Therefore, the conception of spikes are brought into this design, in addition, the spikes are retractable. The spikes can efficiently enhance the grip of TPR Car-rescue-track on icy and snowy pavement and make the cars pass through in safety.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: When driving on a snow-paved or muddy road, a car can easily slip off the track or become stuck. The Portable TPR Car-rescue-track provides assistance to drivers so that they can get themselves safely out of a dangerous driving situation, or when they are stuck in mud or snow.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: While using, unfold the Portable TPR Car-rescue-track, then put it under the driving wheel that lost adhesion to make sure it can contact with the tire effectively. As a result, the can pass through successfully.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project research duration is Feb. to May 2016.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Except the essential metal structural components, Thermo-Plastic-Rubber (TPR) is applied as surface material. TPR can be shaped directly, and has excellent abrasive resistance, skid resistance and vibration reduction.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: When extended, the total length of this rescue track is 71cm in length. When folded up to be stored, it becomes a portable tool that measures 24.5cm in length, 11cm in width, and 25cm in height. This product is easy to use and stylishly designed for any driver.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The track is made from a combination of environment TPR rubber and galvanized steel. An anti-skidding adjustable nail at the bottom of the track increases friction between the track and muddy roads to minimise the possibility of slipping.
CHALLENGE: The design has simple structure, low material cost, and it is very easy to be realized in the process.
