DESIGN NAME: Evening Radiance
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House
INSPIRATION: The design framework of this case is created according to the emotion and interaction of the user and their families. Even without saying a word, people can have such a natural emotional communication, and each space carries its meaning of existence.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A project aside the riverside of the Tamsui River makes the river scene available to the viewers in the living room, the dining room and the master bedroom. To keep the interior room wide and open, the spatial see-through exceptionally highlights the riverside scenery and advantageous lighting.
The display rack in the living room functional as a screen and a sofa side table as well as a lounge for the poppy one of the owners makes the pet and its owner enjoy spending time together in the house.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: A slope ceiling begins at the entrance and ends at the living room. The large-size cement-style tiles apply to the whole elevation. A continuous pavement applies to the end. A magnificent concept is actualized with continuation in design.
To include utmost daylight in public room, a see-through L-shape metal rack of the TV wall that segments the master bedroom and the living room visually separates the TV back wall from the ceiling and the column.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in September 2013 and completed in March 2014, and place in Taipei, Taiwan.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This design particularly considers the owner’s dog. Once the case is finished, the dog actually uses the planned recreation area beside the show shelf in the living room to get closer to the owner.
CHALLENGE: With each independent space of compartments, we try to fully present the original status of the house without compartment walls, with the beautiful scenery outside the window and abundant lighting in the room.
